STAY HYDRATED!!!

We, at the Chatham Avalon Park Community Council, urge all residents to keep and stay hydrated during the three-day heat wave with triple-digit (100+ degree) heat indexes and to look in on your elderly neighbors to see that they have clean tap water, not just bottled water to drink in dipensable containers by their bedsides, stay in a cool environment at home, and keep the thermostat on the air conditioner between 72 and 78 degrees and the humidier at 35 percent. Parents should see that their young children drink at least 8 cups of water (preferrably tap water) per day.
