"...What YOU can do for YOUR Neighborhood"
Dearest Neighbors & Stakeholders,
Season's Greetings once again. The Grand Crossing Park Neighborhood Network
is once again celebrating it's traditional, annual Kwanzaa observance.
This year we gather on Umoja in recognition of the quest for unity in the
community in the areas of violence prevention, disaster preparedness and
police-community relations. As always we'll be enjoying ceremony, recognition,
food, fun and music. Our yearly raffle has become popular addition, rounding out
the festivities. We look forward to this year's keynote speaker and a wholesome
world cafe discussion.
As we look forward to 2015, we hope to see some great initiatives take off
and soar to even greater heights. "Antonio's response" will debut as will the
opening of New Life Covenant Church. 2015 is the year in which we hope to go
MEGA with our social, networking events such as "Juneteenth", "National Night
Out" and the 2015 Kwanzaa, complete with vendors!
We have spent 7 long years lining up our ducks against urban/public
violence. It's time once again to draw together and enjoy the FRUITFUL
RELATIONSHIPS we have labored to build over time, all in the name of peace and
UNITY IN THE COMMUNITY.
