2015 Healthy Aging
Summit: Call for Abstracts
The HHS Office of Disease Prevention and
Health Promotion requests abstracts addressing the science of healthy aging for
presentation at the 2015 Healthy Aging Summit, July 27-28, 2015, in Washington,
DC.
We seek “innovative presentations” from a
wide array of subject matter experts across a multitude of disciplines, both
federal and non-federal. While public health and health care are key to
understanding complex issues around aging, there is much to learn from experts
across sectors such as transportation, environment, housing, justice, and
faith-based partners.
Whether you are a clinician or consumer,
public health official or constituent, educator or student, caregiver or care
receiver, your involvement at this Summit will help to ensure that all Americans
live longer, healthier lives.
- The
2015 Healthy Aging Summit goals are to:
- Explore
the science on healthy aging;
- Identify
knowledge gaps that need to be filled;
- Promote
prevention in improving quality of life in later years; and
- Mobilize
action to improve the delivery of care for those aging in place or in transition
between care settings.
These goals should be addressed in
submissions. Presentations that focus on collaboration with diverse partners and
have international applications are encouraged.
Submission Deadline: Monday, February 2,
2015, 11:59 p.m. ET.
