Join us for an improvisational mini concert by some of the leading ladies of the AACM followed by a stimulating and informative conversation about women and music.
Featured are musician/composers Ann Ward, Coco Elysses, Maia, Shanta Nurullah, Sherry Scott and Rita Warford Presented by DuSable Museum in conjunction with the exhibition Free at First: The Audacious Journey of the Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians in honor of the 50th Anniversary of the AACM.
Moderated by Kai El Zabar, executive editor, Chicago Defender newspaper.
