             Catholic School & Chatham resident.

           

             Chatham is the African American Middle

             Class Dividend. Things have changed over

             the past decade in our community service

             area from (75th Street  to 87th, Cottage Grove

             to State Street.  Our Elders built it, will (WE)

             maintain & redevelop it or will Chatham 60

             plus legacy wither away because of apathy ?

              

            1. Median age of resident has decreased

            2. Median income has decreased over $10,000

            3.  Unemployment rate increased

            5.  Chatham has great well built housing stock

            6.  Chatham is being slowly GENTRIFIED

            7.  Quality education needs to be our #1 priority

            8.   Public safety needs to be our #2 priority

            9.   More residents in our area than ever

                  ever before are receiving assistance from                

                   the federal government.      

10. We must attract viable business, new green & technical jobs to Chatham.
