003^rd(Grand Crossing)District

About the Crime:

This alert gives notice to citizens residing in the 003^rd District (Grand Crossing)

that an increase in robbery related incidents have occurred during the month of March in the vicinity of: 6900-7100 South, Stony Island Ave.- Jeffrey Ave.

The Offender (s) approaches the victims and announces a robbery, while displaying a handgun. The following weapon has been displayed: dark steel handgun. Detectives are seeking information from anyone with knowledge of these offenders.

About the Offenders:

Offender descriptions are generally described as;

Offender #1 is described as M/Blk/20-305’09-5'10, 170-200 lbs., Dark Clothing to include ski mask

Offender(s) #2 is described as M/Blk/15-17 yoa, Dark Jacket , Beige pants, Dreadlocks

What you can do:

• Always be aware of your surroundings
• Report suspicious activity immediately
• If you are confronted by an assailant remain calm
• Remember any unique physical characteristics (scars, limp, acne, teeth, hair etc...)
• Never pursue a fleeing assailant, provide the information to the police
• If approached by a witness to the incident, request contact information
• Dial 9-1-1 immediately and remain on scene when possible
