ALDERMAN RODERICK T. SAWYER JOINS PROGRESSIVE CAUCUS
IN HOSTING PUBLIC BUDGET MEETINGS
In an effort to
promote true democracy in the City's Budget process, the Progressive Caucus of
the Chicago City Council will host three hearings to discuss the 2013
budget.
The Grassroots Collaborative wants to see a robust conversation that addresses the needs of Chicago's working families and includes progressive revenue options that stop burdening neighborhood taxpayers. We should stop corporate welfare and invest in the common good.
Everyone should come out and get involved in making our budget fairer, moral, and representative of Chicago's communities.
