50 Years!

Chicago’s 21 time Award Winning, International Recording Artist and Culture Music Legend, Stann
Champion got his first guitar the same year The Chicago Bulls NBA team was established in
October 1966 . Since, Stann has become a fan of the guitar and a huge Bulls fan. “I saw the
first team, coached by Johnny “Big Red” Kerr play at the International Amphitheater on Chicago’s south
side because my step-father worked as the security and he is still with the Bulls today” .
Seems fitting that Stann Champion’s Roots Rock Society was selected to perform along with the Bulls vs
Boston for “Caribbean Night” at The United Center 1901 W. Madison, Thursday January 7th 2016. Stann
and RRS, known for their exciting, crowd pleasing stage performances of Calypso, Zouk, Compa, Reggae
and other tropical root rhythms of the Caribbean. RRS will entertain their largest audience to date of
20,000+ with songs from their latest ground breaking CD, “TimeBless” on RRS International Records plus
other classics.
Michael Vigan, Coordinator of Game Presentation had witnessed a stunning RRS performance at an
Awards Presentation at Chicago Cubs Sponsor, Swedish Covenant Hospital in 2007 and felt that they
would have an immediate impact at United Center and joy to RRS fans worldwide.
Billed as “Chicago’s Hottest Ticket 2016”, Stann is overwhelmed with joy for the opportunity to perform
his guitar for fans of his favorite NBA Team. Happy “50 Years” to both Stann Champion and Chicago
Bulls. Show time for RRS from 5:30p to time of National Anthem.
