Community CAPS
Meeting
Creating change in the immediate future
Once again it's time to convene on the interests of
the fostering of Community Centered Policing and Criminal Justice where we live.
President Obama has pledged increase funding for Community-Police enhancements.
The "Community CAPS Meeting" continues in 2015 as we make up
for the cuts in the CAPS program and fill the vacant month with a grassroots
session aimed at fostering in-put & discussion towards identified
problems.
Beat 624, identified as the heart
of critical policing and strategic neighborhood . Joining grassroots adherents
from beats 322,323 324, 411, 412, 414, 623, 631, 632 & 731, we'll hit at
critical issues for consensus;
- Beat integrity
- Troubled Buildings
- Police - community engagement & relations
Again we'll meet at "The Annex" at 78th &
Greenwood and seek to build consensus on improvements in CAPS, from the police
officer to the everyday citizen. We seek to create usable feedback to deliver to
the powers that be in the quest for permanent solutions.
Ultimate goal - reducing violence in our area,
specifically driving down homicide incidents.
Lasting change means we all must step up!
