"...What YOU can do for YOUR Neighborhood"
Neighbors and Stakeholders,
Fresh off of 2 smoking hot beat meetings (322-323 &
624) this week, and following up 2014, February 2015 is packed with
winter actions!
Stage
The stage is set in 2015 for big changes in Law
Enforcement & Criminal Justice across America. The Obama administration will
beef up funding and big results are expected. The "Community" must be ready to
do it's part. The going is looking to get hot and heavy. "Everyone and their
mother" are needed for a great victory. It's time for us all to fit in and
do...what WE can do for OUR neighborhood!
Vote
2015
First and foremost we need folks to get out, become a useful part of the
process and VOTE!
The election is Tuesday February 24th, 2015, with options for early voting.
Mayoral & Aldermanic winners will set the tone for the future.

Behind the film opening of "Selma" there arises the need to regard history
in preparing for the future. Classic examples come from the Civil Rights
Movement. What are we doing to engage our youth to help them take the future
reigns of leadership. Bring a young person to this gathering of local community
leaders, advocates and volunteers. We'll reflect on the various forms of
leadership which have brought us thus far on the way and have a good time with
food, music and fun.

The Community/CAPS revolution continues with this months meeting in place
of the cutback beat meetings. This month we will review the successful
strategies from 2015 and get briefed on what we hope will be winning strategies
for 2015, where we hope to Keep 624 and Chatham/Grand Crossing/Park Manor out of
the top ten beats of the cities Public Violence statistics.
We may have to battle serious weather to ensure all these strategic events
happen. Let's show what we're made of and make'em happen!
