Grand Crossing Park
Neighborhood Network
"...What YOU can do for YOUR Neighborhood"
Neighbors & Stakeholders,
Our next monthly neighborhood violence reduction & action strategy session meeting will be:
Tuesday February 10, 2015
St. Mark Manor
840 E. 76th st.
6-8pm
Challenging times are again before us. A brutal winter has again showed us that Mother Nature is all powerful and never to be denied. Preparations to survive unscathed is always in order, in any neighborhood, anywhere.
Policing in America is front and center now and the call for change is loud and clear. The memory of our neighbors, Antonio Smith, Demario Bailey and Dr. Betty Howard demands that we step up and help put an end to senseless violence in our neighborhoods. CAPS in Chicago promises to radically improve.
The Grand Crossing Park Neighborhood Network continues working toward the type of proactive, positive change needed - heightened communications & collaboration!
We've known for years that everyone has to find their role, and fulfill it, in order achieve real and lasting change.
In our Kwanzaa, mutli-faith tradition, we are planting the seeds needed to attain comprehensive, grassroots empowerment for our neighborhoods. We need you to join us and contribute this month.
Please make your phone tree calls at this time!
Our agenda, this month, shapes up as being;
- Getting out the vote!
- Catalyzing the new "CAPS" in Chicago in the wake of "Ferguson"
- Problem solving the community calendar crisis
- Progress on our "Winter plans" & "DPI- 60619"
- Planting Kwanzaa seeds for growth
- Outlook strategies in 2015
- Black History Month Reception final planning
- 'Juneteenth' Planning
