This photograph was captured late in 2013, when the country of Jordan experienced a measles outbreak. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), sent staff to help in the response. CDC epidemiologist, Dr. Mary Alleman took this photo of a Jordanian toddler, who was holding out her immunization card, and chatting to one of Dr. Alleman’s colleagues from the World Health Organization (WHO).
