Don't miss this unique opportunity to see the current progress of the
rehabilitation of the former Stony Island Trust & Savings Bank Building.
Theaster Gates and his team have
undertaken the restoration of this neo-Classical 1923 structure, which they are
transforming into a cultural and community space for the Grand Crossing
neighborhood. We'll hear from Charlie Vinz of Stony Group LLC and Theaster Gates
Studio about their mission with this project along with the process and lessons
learned of preserving the historic significance of a building undergoing a gut
rehab. The Stony Island Arts Bank is scheduled to open Fall of 2014.
Please confirm your
attendance by replying to this message or calling Alyce Eaton at CCLF at

one!
