Proposed Changes to the 79th Street Bus Stops

The CTA Traffic Planning has proposed several changes to the bus stops on 79Th Street on the 79 bus route. Bus stops at 79Th and Calumet, 79Th and Michigan, and 79Th and State, would be eliminated in both directions. The bus stop going westbound on 79Th Street at 79Th and Lafayette would also be eliminated. The bus stop at 79Th at St. Lawrence would be relocated from the nearside of the street to the far side of the street in both directions. The bus stop going eastbound on 79Th Street at 79Th and King Drive would also be relocated from the nearside of the street to the far side of King Drive.
