Chatham Affected by CTA Bus and Rail Service Cuts

We, at the Chatham Avalon Park Community Council, wish to inform all of our residents of the change in CTA bus service throughout Chatham will include service elimination on King Drive Express (X3), Cottage Grove Express (X4) and 3:05 hours of service a day eliminated on State Street (#29) beginning this Sunday, February 7, 2010. Bus riders should expect an extra two-to-five minute wait for their buses during weekday rush hours, and an extra two to eight minutes during off-peak hours. During very-late evening hours, they could also be an extra 10 to 15 minutes between buses. Rail riders on the Red Line will see an additional one to two minutes for a train during weekday rush periods, and two to five minutes during off-peak hours.
