to show up, help out, and join in?
The Summer of Service Awards recognize young people who are creating positive change through volunteering and service. Winners receive a $1,000 award to continue their community projects and inspire their peers to join in the fun of helping others. Winners might also have the opportunity to be featured by their local ABC television station. Young changemakers in the United States, ages 5-18, are eligible to apply. The application deadline is this Thursday, July 31.
Who are we looking for?
Young people, ages 5-18, who are creating lasting, positive change through volunteer and community service projects. We're especially interested in ongoing, youth-led projects that highlight the creativity and commitment of young people working to meet the needs of others.
Applicants must have already implemented a service project in their community. The Summer of Service Awards recognize youth that have already served their community and provide support to continue their projects and inspire other young people to join them.
