Legislators have until the end of the month to renew Illinois’ Telecom Act—or reverse it forever.
We know what Big Telecom companies, like AT&T, want: They want to add to their billions in profits by gutting consumer protections and killing affordable home phone service.
Big Telecom doesn’t care that many rural residents, low-income families and seniors still depend on landlines as their most affordable and reliable lifeline to friends, employment opportunities and key services like 911.
Stop Big Telecom! Please, ask your legislators to defend consumer protections and preserve the Illinois Telecom Act.
