Immigration Issue Hits Home in Chatham
There are a large number of immigrant day laborers looking for work in the parking lot of the Home Depot in the Chatham Market. Do you offer they work for home improvement? Housekeeping? Landscaping? Have you ever hired an "illegal immigrant" or more appropriately, an "undocumented alien" to do work in and around your home? Leave your revealing comments on the comment line.

Who is wrong? Are they wrong for looking for work? Are the individuals hiring them wrong for paying them less than minimal wages? Is the community wrong for not making an issues about it for the last year. I have stated repeatedly that this community would have screamed loud if that was a group of African American men standing there. Lastly, there are African American who are also standing out there and Alderman Brookins doesn't see it as a problem.
