Two people were shot and wounded this afternoon in the Chatham neighborhood, according to Chicago police.
One of the victims, a 17-year-old girl, was shot in her calf and the other victim, a 20-year-old man, was shot in the foot. Both victims were being treated at Jackson Park Hospital in good condition.
The shooting happened Monday shortly before 3 p.m. in the 7700 block of South Evans Avenue.
No one was in custody and police could not provide a description of the shooter.
A male and female, believed to be in their 20s, were shot about 3:30 p.m. at East 77th Street and South Langley Avenue in the Chatham neighborhood, said Fire Department spokesman Quention Curtis.
The victims were taken in fair-to-serious condition to Jackson Park Hospital.
