Park Manor Christian Church's Vacation Bible School

Clarifying the "initial adult supervision" statement in the previous email:

Children must be registered by an adult.  In the past, children have shown up on the first day without a parent or guardian and attempted to register.  VBS needs information for each child -- emergency contacts, who is authorized to pick up, allergies and medications, etc. -- that an adult must provide.

If you know of any youth between the ages of 4 years through 8th grade who don't have anything to do the first two weeks of summer vacation, please consider enrolling them in Park Manor Christian Church's Vacation Bible School (located at the corner of 73rd and St. Lawrence).

It is a 9-day experience beginning Monday, June 23rd and ending Thursday, July 3rd from the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The cost is free to everyone (but we will take a donation of $15.00 per child if you feel generous.)

We will feed them breakfast and lunch.  Our theme this year is The Jesus Connection...O What a Friend.

Registration will take place on Sunday, June 22nd between noon and 2 p.m. and on opening day beginning at 8:45 a.m.  An adult must enroll them.  You cannot send them without the initial adult supervision.  There is a contract for both child and parent to sign.

If you know of any free field trips or activities that would benefit children during these two weeks, please share them with me and my staff and I will check them out.  Due to safety concerns in the city of Chicago, we can no longer take them to the park for an outdoor picnic so we are looking for places that are safe.

Thank you for considering our Vacation Bible School.
