State Representative Elgie R. Sims, Jr.
The State of Illinois are looking for over 500 temporary workers to help individuals sign up for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act. The workers will be paid $9 an hour and will assist consumers with answering questions and explaining the differences between the insurance policies offered.

Job applications will be collected online and anyone hired will get three days of training. Enrollment will begin October 1st. Each in-person counselor must complete state and federal training and a fingerprint-based background check.
