State Representative Elgie R. Sims, Jr.
| The State of Illinois are looking for over 500 temporary workers to help individuals sign up for health insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act. The workers will be paid $9 an hour and will assist consumers with answering questions and explaining the differences between the insurance policies offered. |
Job applications will be collected online and anyone hired will get three days of training. Enrollment will begin October 1st. Each in-person counselor must complete state and federal training and a fingerprint-based background check.
