The Hayes family and Six Guns Ranch and Arena established the rodeo and scholarship to honor the passion of Tracey Lynn Johnson-Hayes, Chicagoan, educator, Alpha Kappa Alpha soror (Gamma '85/UIllinois) and accomplished rodeo rider. Tracey, wife and mother of three, was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1999. She beat it only to have cancer return in 2006. This time it was terminal. Tracey was an amazing mother and educator with a love of horses and rodeo. She competed in barrel and relay races, owned horses and was a committed educator for Chicago Public Schools, until her untimely death in December of 2009.

Her family can think of no better way to honor her passion for rodeo and commitment to the education of our youth than through this event which seeks to fund an on going scholarship through All About Pink. A portion of all ticket sales and direct donations to All About Pink will benefit the scholarship in her name.
