Mary Mitchell has it wrong!
Calling for the resignation of
DuSable Chairman, Clarence
Bourne.
We respect the Concerned Committee for the
Support
of Independent Cultural Institutions.
They are Keepers of the Culture, historians,
writers
and those who document of our experience from our
perspective.
We are part of #blacklivesmatter,
#DuSablesIndependencematters
We respect African-centered movements, Black
nationalists,
and others who reflect who we truly are.
Our voices will not be silenced, as net worth does
not trump self-worth.
It is our self-worth, our ability to tell our
stories that matters!
Any reorganizing plan must be fortified with
recognition of
who the elders are and have been.
We must stay true to Dr. Margaret Burrough's
founding mission.
Keep DuSable independent. Keep the funding
coming. Be all inclusive.
Bring DuSable membership money if you are not
already a member!
Thank you for your commitment to tell the truth and
not be afraid.
