Evans, Jr. State Representative | 33rd District March 2015 www.staterepevans33.com Evans in Action Dear Friend, The first session of the 99th General Assembly is near it's half way point, and bills are starting to move through the assembly. Most notably, last week the General Assembly passed legislation to address a serious budget shortfall in last year's budget of fiscal 2015. Also, I am chief sponsoring a few bills in the House of Representative, and those measures are moving through the assembly. One of my top priorities is HB3695. This bill pushes to protect the pension security of the hard working retired teachers of Chicago. When I return to Springfield we will continue to work on the fiscal year 2016 budget, and all of the other very important legislative measures. As always, you can count on me to be your 33rd District advocate for fair allocation of resources, and good policy. It is my honor to be your voice in Springfield. On March15, 2015, the Gately Park Advisory Council, Slow Breakers, Chicago Park District and the City of Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel hosted a rally at Gately Park to restore park grant funds from the State.
