Click Here COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT "CHATHAM'S SMALL BUSINESSES" Bobbie Rosenthal, Owner The Mailbox Depot By Christian Kinsey Meet Bobbie Rosenthal, Chicago native and proud owner of Mailbox Depot, located at 7732 S. Cottage Grove in the Chatham community. Prior to owning the establishment, Ms. Rosenthal was a loyal customer and friend of the previous owner, who she helped for 15 years before taking over in 2008. Her hope is to make the business more than just a mailbox service. She gained the traits of love and care at a young age from her father, so whenever a person is in need, she never says no, no matter what she has to do or who the person is. She volunteers at Pacific Garden, helping the homeless, and also volunteers at the City Colleges of Chicago. When not volunteering or working from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. When asked what type of mark she would like to leave on the community, with a bright smile, she replied that she'd like to be remembered "as a compassionate and loving human being."
