Development Awards
Applications
Due September 11 |
The Chicago Neighborhood Development
Awards (CNDA), established in 1995, recognize outstanding achievement in
community development in five different categories, covering both nonprofits and
for-profits in the Chicago area. Applications are now being accepted
for the CNDA and for the Richard H. Driehaus Awards for Architectural Excellence
in Community Design. The awards ceremony will take place on February 17,
2015.

Alliance is currently accepting
applications for their 11th Annual Inspiring Efficiency Awards. Each year, they
recognize Midwest leaders who deliver groundbreaking advancements in energy
efficiency in five categories: Leadership, Education, Impact, Innovation and

Request for Proposals for the 2014-15
Public Sector Energy Efficiency Program, which provides funding and technical
assistance to help local governments update and retrofit public facilities. The

in Fall 2013, The Harper Court Redevelopment is notable for its sustainability
performance. The project is certified LEED Gold-Neighborhood Development rated.
It is now pursuing LEED Core & Shell, New Construction and Commercial
Interiors certifications. This program and site tour will explain the key design
elements that achieved a high performance structure while balancing the need for
flexibility to accommodate multi-function spaces and multiple end users. Learn

The Law Project is seeking nonprofit
founders who are interested in or are in the process of forming a new nonprofit
organization for its new Emerging Nonprofit Certificate of Training program.
Sessions will focus on funding, developing a budget, setting up a 501(c)(3)
legal status and other important nonprofit skills. Participants will be granted
an application fee waiver for TLP's application for pro bono legal assistance
