"If any man tells you he loves America, yet hates
labor, he is a liar.
If
any man tells you he trusts America, yet fears labor, he is a fool."
-- President Abraham
Lincoln
Dear
Resident,
Today,
we celebrate the labor movement in the United States; a movement that grew out
of the need to protect the common interest of
workers. We can thank those who led the way for better wages, a 40 hour work
week, safer working conditions, and child labor stoppages.
Let
us take today to remember the men and women who made sacrifices and helped pave
the way for making America the best place on Earth to work and live.
Warmest
regards,
Elgie
