Please help us honor the following park advocates: Alderman Toni Foulkes - Legislative Award For supporting the ERA Trail, Lindblom Park, the new playground in Hermitage Park and for expanding parks in the 15th Ward. Alderman Danny Solis - Legislative Award For his commitment to new playgrounds in Claremont and Dvorak Parks, the new Ping Tom Park Fieldhouse and Harrison Park sports field.Leslie Recht - Individual Award For 30 years advancing the design and improvements of Fosco, Rockwell, Bartelme, Women's and Anderson Parks.
Pritzker Traubert Foundation - Foundation Award
For donating $5 million to establish the Take the Field Initiative, which built 12 new sports fields in Chicago's parks.
6th Police District - Gresham - Advocacy Award For the successful three-year Peace in the Park Campout Program in Cole Park, in memory of fellow police officer, Thomas Wortham IV.
Chase Park Advisory Council - Park Advisory Council Award For advocating and creating park programming and building new children's playgrounds in Chase and Aster Parks.
Ed Uhlir - Leon Despres Lifetime Commitment to Parks Award For over three decades work creating new parks in Chicago and for the design, construction and programming of Chicago's award-winning Millennium Park.
