We have lots to be thankful
for: Our
Families, Our Health, Our
Homes & Dwellings, Our Jobs and a stable
thriving African American
Community envied and marveled by many.
Chatham is the African-
American Middle Class Dividend. We have our
elders to thank for it. African Americans started moving into the
Chatham
Community in the early 1950’s
from Park Manor, Woodlawn, Englewood,
Bronzeville and other
predominantly (Black) African- American Areas.
