About 11 p.m. last night in the Chatham neighborhood, a 22-year-old man was sitting on a porch in the 8100 block of South Evans Avenue when a male suspect approached and fired shots, hitting him once in the right ankle, according to Gresham District police. The man was taken in good condition to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center.
The victim told police he had been involved in a fight with the suspect at a gas station in the 800 block of East 79th Street, earlier in the day, police said.
Police are investigating the shootings but no one was in custody as of early this morning.
