About 4 a.m. Monday in the Chatham neighborhood, a 17-year-old girl was shot in her leg, Police News Affairs Officer Ron Gaines said. The shooting happened in the 7900 block of South Ellis Avenue. The teen was taken to Jackson Park Hospital for treatment.
No one was in custody for the shooting. Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
