The Woodlawn Summit - This Saturday 8am -12:30pm

Grand Crossing Park Neighborhood Network
"...What YOU can do for YOUR Neighborhood"
Dearest Neighbors and Stakeholders,
For those with time this weekend. The Woodlawn Summit will have as a keynote, Lori Lightfoot, head of the police board making an important address to area community advocates. Today's announcement by the police board that the final 3 candidates for Police Supt. are in fact community advocates themselves, with proven track records is significant. In light of the times, this makes the Summit all the more important for all the capacities it currently possesses -time, place and process.
Because Chatham, Avalon and Grand crossing don't have established neighborhood summits, it may be good for neighborhood advocates to venture over to listen to what Woodlwan is producing in the vein of neighborhood capacity building. Also important are the changes in the Cook County State's Atty office which are about to sweep in with a new State's Attorney (Prosecutor) which is all important to our neighborhood welfare.
Disaster Preparedness capacity is also important in this venue.
These are important times. Try to make it if you can.
