Update: Your 2015 ComEd bills

Citizens Utility Board 30th Anniversary CitizensUtility Board

David Kolata Dear Resident :
Here’s a quick rundown of our 2015 campaign against $1.5 billion in higher rates—including two battles that could have a huge impact on your ComEd bills:
  • ComEd New Year rate hike of $200+ million.
  • Legislative push by ComEd-parent Exelon that could slam us with $580 million in higher power bills.
  • Court battle to capture a $200 million Nicor Gas refund.
  • Peoples/North Shore Gas rate hikes totaling $109 million.
  • AT&T/Frontier deregulation plan that could eliminate low-cost home phone service in Illinois.
  • Plan by coal-plant operator Dynegy that could boost Ameren bills by $300 million.
  • Ameren New Year rate hike of about $200 million.

Don't delay in making your year-end contribution to CUB.

Remember, if made by Dec. 31, your contribution is tax-deductible* on your 2014 tax return.
