PLEASE READ AND PASS ON Aldermanic and Mayoral Candidate Forums

City of Chicago Aldermanic and

 Mayoral Candidates Forum

A

ttention City of Chi
cago residents!

It is time we hold our politicians accountable for their actions. Our communities, our schools, and our children depend upon our actions and our vote. The time for a new approach is now, and that starts Jan. 10 to have your voice heard and have input on who your next alderman and mayor will be!

The NAACP Chicago South Side Branch, SEIU Local 73 Communities Organized to Win (COW), Blacks in Green (BIG), and the Educational Village Keepers (EdVK) are sponsoring a series of

mayoral and aldermanic candidates forums for the upcoming City of Chicago election on Feb. 24, 2015.

These forums are meant to introduce all candidates on February’s ballot to their communities

and constituents. There are five major issues common to all nearby communities and wards in Chicago that candidates will be asked their opinion on.

l

Jobs l Economic development

l

Education l Health

l

Public Safety/Criminal Justice

Come to a forum to meet your candidates, hear their opinions on what matters most to you so you can make an informed decision on Election Day!

The forums will begin Saturday, Jan. 10, with additional forums on Saturday, Jan. 24, Saturday,

Feb. 7, and Thursday, Feb. 12. Please see the reverse side for times and locations as well as when specific times for each ward’s forum.

Email politicalaction@naacpcss.org or jedwards-cow@seiu73.org for more information.
