Clean & Green

Chicago's Citywide "Clean & Green" Volunteer Clean-Up is scheduled to take place on Saturday, April 26, 2014.
As in the past, "Clean & Green" offers individuals and groups an opportunity to join with the City of Chicago to help make our neighborhoods and communities cleaner and more attractive.
Brooms, rakes, trash bags and other tools are provided; the people give a little time and bring a lot of spirit! The result is a better and cleaner place for everyone to live, work and do business.
Contact your local Alderman for places and times for your neighborhood clean up.

Requirements:
  • Graduation form a four year accredited college or university majoring in computer science or a related field.
  • Seven years of experience as a software programmer, data base analyst, telecommunications analyst, or related position involving data processing systems development and management, including two years of supervisory experience.
Substitution:
  • Full time graduate study in computer science or a related field may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two years.
  • Additional professional experience in data processing may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis to a maximum of two year.

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is accepting applications for the following position:
Position Title: Site Security Officer Monthly
Salary Range: $3,195 - $3,976
Position Location: William Powers State Recreation Area, 12949 S. Avenue O, Chicago, IL 60633 (Cook County)
Work Schedule: Thursday - Monday, 7:00 pm - 3:30 am, 1 hour lunch. Tuesday & Wednesday off.
**Rotating schedule during waterfowl season.
Description of Duties:
Under general supervision, works gate house; issues camping permits, etc.; seasonally patrols William Powers State FWA to ensure safety and security of buildings, grounds and visitors.

Desirable Education, Training and Experience:
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of high school; Requires a valid Illinois Driver's license. Requires ability to patrol on foot, perform physical tasks necessary to routine maintenance; requires ability to prepare written reports of activities and incidents. Requires ability to collect camping fees, total receipts and make night bank deposits. Requires ability to perform first aid and CPR and maintain certification in those areas.
