Driving Directions
Have you ever wondered what Chicago's parks look like from the 22nd floor? You will have your chance on May 10th!
Join Friends of the Parks for a tour from above of Chicago's downtown parks. See Millennium Park, Maggie Daley Park, Grant Park, and the lakefront from the 22nd floor perch of the Cliff Dwellers.
Before we discover Chicago's parks from above, we will start the tour at the "Borders" exhibit in the Solti Garden at the southeast corner of Jackson and Michigan. While they are still in Chicago, see the life-sized statues by Icelandic artist Steinunn Thorasinsdottir. Take a peak and imagine what conversation the 13 pairs of sculptures are having.
After taking in this unique exhibit, the tour will proceed to the Cliff Dwellers for a guided tour of our downtown parks by park experts. Learn about the plans for Maggie Daley Park and watch them in building it, and view the hustle and bustle of Millennium Park and enjoy the blue waters of Lake Michigan.
Lunch with the best view of the parks is included.
Friends of the Parks Members: $35
Non Members $40
