Dear
Colleague:
I am hoping you can help me spread the word about
an upcoming conference for Chicagoland-area undergraduates interested in careers
in public policy or public affairs.
“Bright Leaders, Bright Futures:
Start the Spark! Conference on Policy Leadership,” hosted by the University of
Chicago and the Harris School of Public Policy, will take place on June 19-21,
2014.
The conference will introduce participants to general graduate
school study and, more specifically, to the disciplines of public policy, public
administration, international affairs and/or public service. The program has
been designed for current college freshman and sophomores, particularly those
from underserved and under-represented communities, who attend school and/or
live in the Chicagoland area.
Students attending the conference will hear
from distinguished speakers; students and UChicago alumni; participate in
workshops; and learn about careers in public leadership. The conference will be
held on the UChicago campus. Housing and food will be covered for all
participants.
The deadline to apply is April 30, 2014, but space is
limited so we encourage any students interested in the program to apply as soon
