Thank You to You All!
We, at the Chatham Avalon Park Community Council, wish to thank in this holiday season, all the residents, members, and viewers who now number more than 10,000 hits per month on this blog...we thank you for your attention and interest in this community blog, giving it a "very good" rating and following formally and informally for the past year. We thank you and wish you the very best for the New Year 2010!

Could you publish that counter on your blog (to the write of the entries).
For a blog that gets 10,000 hits per week, you have a remarkably low response.
The 6th Ward received 225 hits last week (325 pageviews). Certainly doesn't compare to your 10,000 .. but we know that people are reading, such as Alderman Lyle.
we hope that between our blogs and others, that we can create a critical mass that can really use the internet to help the Chatham community.
The Concerned Citizens of Chatham facebook page doesn't receive 10,000 hits per week and we have the Alderman and other politicians commenting on a regular basis. This sounds like another exaggeration. Tis Tis.
The demographics of the blog are 50% black, 50% white, all ages, i.e., anyone who has a computer, with the blacks coming from all over and across the South Side, and the whites from the suburbs and the collar counties, with many of THEM having parents or grandparents who used to live in Chatham pre- mid-1950s, i.e., before the white flight.
You are feeling yourself. Why don't you make a New Year Resolution to work on creating a blog that an asset to the community and offers useful information versus the junk you are posting.
Why are the officers of this organization standing by and do this beyond me maybe they need to go as well.
