About the Crime:
This alert gives notice to citizens of the 6
th District (Gresham) on Beat 623 of recent
Robbery incidents that have occurred in recent weeks. During these incidents,
unknown offender(s) have displayed firearms and demanded property from the
victims.
Incident times and locations:
•
100 block of East 79th Street, August 29, 2016 at 12:00 p.m.
•
7800 block of South State Street, September 1, 2016 at 9:40 p.m.
•
7800 block of South Calumet Avenue, September 14, 2016 at 2:30 p.m.
•
100 block of West 79th Street, September 14, 2016 at 11:00 p.m.
About the Offender:
One – Two male Black offenders, 20-45 years of age, 5'06"- 6'02" tall, 140-200 lbs.,
medium/ dark complexion. Offenders hairstyles include dreadlocks and short hair.
What you can do:
•
If confronted by the offender, attempt to remain calm.
•
Always be aware of your surroundings.
•
Report suspicious activity immediately.
•
Call 911 immediately and provide a detailed description of any suspicious people
including any vehicle description and license plate information.
