$40 Million

Dear Friend,

It's hard to believe that last week marked one year since my announcement to serve the people of the greatest city in the world. As City Treasurer, it has been an honor and a privilege to serve the people of Our Chicago, and I am truly grateful for the opportunity.

We stand at an important juncture in the history and future of Chicago. Our current fiscal situation has implications for education, economic development and public safety for the generations to come. We all must do our part to solve this problem, starting with my office. The transformation in the Treasurer's Office has created a new and more responsible approach to investing taxpayer dollars which will benefit the people of Chicago by generating an additional $30-$40M of new investment revenue annually.

Last week I was on CLTV's Politics Tonight with Paul Lisnek discussing the budget and how the Treasurer's Office is boosting revenue without increasing the burden on taxpayers.

There is so much that we have accomplished this past year, and I can't wait to see all that we can do together in the future. These innovative new strategies allow us to have an impact on each and every Chicagoan, making our City a stronger and better place to work and enjoy life.

Thank you for being a part of this journey as we seek to invest and promote the greater good in every neighborhood of Our Chicago.

Only with your support, can I continue working hard for Chicagoans everyday. To make your donation of $100, $50, or even $25, click here.
