The 2016 spring session is here and we will be heading back to Springfield to continue to work on last year's budget, while starting the process of addressing this year's budget. Ideally we should be done with the previous year's budget but the unfortunate impasse in Springfield has prevented true progress. The Governor would like the members of the General Assembly to support his agenda which would ultimately hurt the vast majority of my constituency. As your State Representative, I will continue to stand up for what is right and reasonable for the 33rd district and ultimately the entire State of Illinois. I believe in changes to improve the state, but the changes must be beneficial for all. As always, it is my pleasure to provide information to my residents.
