I would like to see some Fortune 500 company set up its corporate headquarters like Navistar did in Lisle, or at least its main high-technology research center which would house employees making in excess of $100,000 a year. With the median income in Chatham once pegged at $58,000, now down to $34,000 for the retiree population, that would be a great boost for economic development by employing and training our young people for job that sustain middle-class homes and neighborhoods like Chatham. Then you can have your upscale shopping in the Chatham Market like H&M, Abercrombie & Fitch, Sports Authority, Tiffany, Saks Fifth Avenue, Barney's of New York, Harrod's and even a Costco.
