Small School Seeking one HS English and one Math Teacher
Bronzeville Scholastic Institute is a small school that provides students a rigorous and engaging curriculum in a supportive environment so that they are prepared to achieve in college and beyond. Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and vision of the school through collaborative work with the faculty, parents, and students. Candidates must be able to show how high expectations for students, staff, and self are core to their teaching practice. Specifically, we are looking for professionals who:

-Demonstrate effective classroom management techniques, systems, and solid rapport
-Demonstrate a history of student gains in achievement through multiple measures
-Engage students’ insights to connect learning to them and to life
-Practice thoroughness and the art of sound decision making including differentiation and knowledge of RTI
-Contribute to instructional leadership by teacher modeling, reflection on practice, regularly examining formative assessment data to determine new approaches
-Collaborate with colleagues during common planning and beyond
-Exhibit a strong work ethic and willingness to do what it takes
-Communicate crucial data among the teacher collaboration teams
-Reflect on professional practices and seek innovative ways of adjusting instruction
-Grow as professionals through taking advantage of development opportunities
-Share in our purpose to grow students into respectful, responsible leaders
