Hinton made history when he was appointed as the first Chief Diversity Officer of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), in October, 2011. The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is the principal organization governing the United States Democratic Party on a day-to-day basis. The Democratic National Committee provides national leadership for the Democratic Party. Before joining the DNC, Greg was the Senior Director/Chief Diversity Strategist at U.S. Cellular Corporation, where he led similar efforts successfully. He has related experiences at: Abbott Laboratories, Pepsi General Bottlers, Amtrak, CMHC and Advocate Health Systems, over the last thirty plus years. Monthly Membership Meeting held by Chatham Business Association, Small Business Development Inc. are held to inform current members and prospective members about issues and activities going on in Chatham and the City of Chicago.
