"...What YOU can do for YOUR Neighborhood"
Neighbors,
Update on the "unfortunate incident" is that there is some confusion due to a coincidence which has occurred, both in the 6th district. within the same day there were two bodies found in allies. One at 76th & Evans, which is our neighborhood, was ruled a suicide. The 2nd was at 76th & Carpenter, over a mile away. Evans was a suicide and Carpenter was ruled a homicide. Carpenter actually happened in Englewood with the body being dumped in the 6th district in the alley of Carpenter.
This coincidence has even police officers confused. Rest assurred I checked things out and this is the official situation for right now. Anything can change, but right now we can be reasonably sure that a south side version of "Jack the Ripper" is not upon us. Please assure any concerned neighbors...
Thank you

"...What YOU can do for YOUR Neighborhood"
Neighbors,
There is speculation going around that a body found in the alley around 76th & Evans was that of a homicide victim, who suffered knife wounds to the neck inflicted by unknown offenders on the loose!
Those accounts are not true. The man, who was in his 50's was is highly believed to have successfully taken his own life with a knife. He had very recently attempted suicide in another 'unorthodox' manner in which he failed and was referred for psychiatric treatment.
This incident will not likely make the news. Please assure your neighbors that, while the situation is unfortunate, there's no cause for alarm.
