AIR SEAL AND INSULATE
TO MAXIMIZE COMFORT
The two most impactful energy efficiency improvements are also the most permanent and cost-effective: properly air sealing and insulating a home. Over half of a home’s total energy costs come from heating and cooling, and these two simple improvements prevent outside air from penetrating and indoor air from escaping. Similarly, the warmest coats have a thick insulating layer to retain heat and a wind blocking layer to keep cold air out. You wouldn’t brave a cold winter day without a warm coat, and neither should your home.
