The DuSable Museum and the Illinois Amistad Commission present, MAAFA, or the African Holocaust. MAAFA is a term used to describe the history and on-going effects of atrocities inflicted on African people. The MAAFA includes the Arab and Atlantic slave trades, and continued through other forms of oppression to the present day. On the four (4) Wednesdays and the four (4) Sundays in February 2014, The DuSable Museum of African American History will partner with Trinity United Church of Christ to present this very special programming.
