Chicago - Tapestry Collection Spark the Arts Grants
Grant Amount: $1,000
Eligibility: Youth ages 12-25, Schools, Organizations in the Chicago area
Focus: Using creative arts to address and/or showcase ANY issue in your community. Projects can take place this winter/spring.
Deadline: January 31st, 2019
Project Examples: Proposed projects should address a cause in the community (such as poverty, hunger, health and well-being, education, equality, safety, climate change, environment, peace, etc.) by either educating others, volunteering, advocating, or fundraising. Youth will incorporate the arts into their projects to share their unique stories! You could perform a play, music, or poetry slam, or host an art gallery which focuses on community issues such as the environment, hunger, safety, poverty, etc.  You could lead a project on any issue and showcase the impact using music, painting, performance, video etc.  The project ideas are endless.
