Can You Spare Two Hours A Year to Save Black Children
We know that you are busy with important work, but if you can spare two hours a year to improve the lives of Black and Latino children in Chicago, call us at 773.285.9600.
In Chicago, Illinois:

More than 600 people have been killed so far this year, mostly young Black men by other young Black men.

More than 3500 people have being shot and wounded so far this year, mostly young Black men by other young Black men.

Only
7 percent of Black boys at the 8th-grade level read at a proficient level.

Unemployment for some groups of young Black men is 30%, 40%, 50%, 60% and 70%.

67% of the people in Cook County Jail and 58% of the people in Illinois Prisons are Black, mostly young Black men.
Only 6 (six) out of 100 (one hundred) 9th-grade young Black men will achieve a 4-year college degree by age 26.

We have thousands of young Black and Latino men and women waiting for you in hundreds of schools, waiting to hear a positive word from you, before they make their important life decisions. Can you spare two hours a year for our children?
We need fraternities, sororities, masons, veterans, young Black and Latino professionals, business people, college students, clergy, educators and anyone who cares about Black and Latino children doing well to join us. Can you spare two hours per year?
