Around 10 p.m. in the Chatham neighborhood, a 20-year-old man was shot in the left thigh during an attempted robbery in the 8400 block of South Rhodes Avenue, police said. The 20-year-old man was shot and badly wounded yesterday evening in the Chatham community. The victim suffered multiple wounds to his chest and one to his leg, Chicago police said. The man went to Jackson Park Hospital and Medical Center, where he was treated and released.
No one was in custody in the shooting.
